In our years of operation, The Art Centre Theatre has given to the community in may ways.
We've offered Free Art Summer Camps to local youth, Free access to our rehearsal rooms for local performance groups, community service opportunities, youth scholarships as well as provide the tools & supportive space for local artist to express themselves. However, we're sure you've noticed that nationwide there's been a cut in funding for the arts. We've applied for many different grants & have tried different approaches to ticket sales, but we are still struggling. We've at the point where we're barely keeping the lights on.
Please consider donating $25 or more to the local arts, it would help us continue to put on productions & give back to the DFW community
August 18th - 27th, 2023Duration: 120 Minutes (2 Hours)George, a professor at a small college, and his wife, Martha, have just returned home, drunk from a Saturday night party. Martha announces, amidst general profanity, that she has invited a young couple—an opportunistic new professor at the college and his shatteringly naïve new bride—to stop by for a nightcap. When they arrive the charade begins. The drinks flow and suddenly inhibitions melt. It becomes clear that Martha is determined to seduce the young professor, and George couldn’t care less. But underneath the edgy banter, which is crossfired between both couples, lurks an undercurrent of tragedy and despair.
