Hello faithful supporters of the arts!

For years Art Centre Theatre had offered free summer theatre camps for kids and have serviced over 700 families per year. Sadly, our 2024 underwriters, like everyone, are unable to afford as much support as previous.

But fear not, the summer can be saved! You can help be a hero to a young child and sponsor a child this year.

There are 2 easy ways to help save the summer:

    1. Legacy chair donation. You can sponsor a child by purchasing a legacy seat in our audience and 100% of those funds will cover tuition and all costs for the child. Your name will be placed on the chair with a tasteful brass name plate, or you may choose to engrave the plate with the name of your choice… These plates will remain on the seats in perpetuity. This donation also entitles you to an ACT Membership which is based on your level of monetary donation, click the link below to make said donation and find out your member benefits.

OR

     2. Sponsor A Kid. If you are not interested in a legacy chair purchase, you can donate 100.00 or more and up to help sponsor one of the Children!!

We need your help and support to make this happen and save the summer for a young artist! For years, Art Centre theatre has provided a safe, creative and fun summer camp to help the growth and development of our future stars. You can make sure that this tradition stays afloat.

PLOT Description: Dewey Frye is dead and the rest of his family is left to pick up the pieces -- that is if they don't kill each other first. Not only does matriarch Dorothy have to contend with sudden widowhood, but she's also faced with church-committee harpy Ozella Meeks sticking her nose in the family business, Dewey's snake-in-the-grass brother making a grab for her house, and two grown daughters reliving their childhood rivalry. Funerals bring out the worst, the best, and the funniest in people, and the Fryes are no exception. A big-hearted comedy about family -- Southern-style.

Southern Fried Funeral is a comedic straight play following the aftermaths of a dysfunctional Southern Family coming together for a funeral. Tickets can be found on artcentretheatre.com and cost $25. More information and an in-depth summary can also be found on the website.
